Issue
Tapping the red record button in the Abridge for Clinicians app does not start a recording. This usually means another app or connected device is blocking the Abridge app from accessing your phone or tablet's microphone.
Steps to resolve
- Open your device's settings and turn Bluetooth off. This prevents your device from routing audio to a connected device such as headphones or hearing aids, which can block microphone access in Abridge.
- If turning off Bluetooth does not resolve the issue, close all other open apps on your device. Another app running in the background may be holding the microphone and preventing Abridge from accessing it.
- Return to the Abridge app and try the record button again.
