Select your patient in the “Worklist” view. If your patient does not appear on your worklist, tap the “+” button and label the recording using the patient’s first and last name.
Tap the red record button to start recording.
When finished recording, tap “Create Note.”
Recording your patient encounter on a laptop/desktop
If your healthcare system has enabled our Web Recording feature, you can follow the steps below to record an encounter via notes.abridge.com on a laptop/desktop.
Select a patient from the Worklist or tap the red “+” button and label the recording using the patient’s first and last name.
Select your device’s microphone from the drop-down menu. Note: If prompted by your browser to give permission to notes.abridge.com to use your microphone, select “Allow” or the affirmative choice
Click the record button to begin recording.
When finished, click the pause button and then click “Create Note.”
If you want to pause your recording and then resume before finishing, click the pause button to pause, and then click the record button to resume. When you're finished, click the pause button and then click "Create Note."
Once generated, your note will appear in the Worklist.
Click the patient visit in the sidebar to review the generated clinical note draft. Your most recent note will always appear at the bottom of the list.
Make edits to the note like a text document and utilize Linked Evidence to view the full transcript from your conversation. Highlight text for corresponding evidence in the transcript.
View and edit your Patient Visit Summary in the “Patient Summary (PVS)” button. Note: Your Patient Visit Summary will not be sent directly into Epic as it’s copy/paste for now.
When finished, click “Send Note” to send your note directly into Epic. Note: If you manually added a patient that was not in your worklist, you will need to copy/paste their note into Epic.
