If a patient does not appear on your worklist, you can still record their encounter by adding them manually using the "+" button.
How to record an ad hoc encounter
- Select the + button in the Abridge app or web editor.
- Label the recording using the patient's first and last name, or initials.
- Record the encounter as usual.
- When finished, tap or click Create Note.
Sending the note to Epic
If you manually add a patient who was not on your worklist, Abridge cannot automatically route the generated note to Epic. You will need to copy and paste the note content into the patient's chart in Epic manually.
This applies to both the mobile app and the web editor at notes.abridge.com.
