Let’s review some tips for how to ensure the best audio quality, processing speed, and note accuracy while recording.
Never log out of or delete the app. If you’re experiencing an issue with recording or uploading, check out our Troubleshooting articles, or reach out to our Support team at help@abridge.com
Record using a high-speed Wi-Fi connection for the fastest note-generation and smooth uploads.
Abridge needs your phone’s microphone. Make sure that you're not using other apps that are using your device’s microphone at the same time as recording with Abridge.
Place your phone in between you and your patient without any obstructions.
Converse instead of dictate. Abridge processes natural clinician-patient conversation, so talk to your patient like you normally would.
Verbally share findings and plans throughout the visit, including during the physical exam. Be sure to vocalize non-verbal cues such as shrugs and nods.
Use the pause and resume functionality to include medical terminology before or after a visit. The more details you can provide, the higher quality note will be produced.
If you answer a phone call while recording, Abridge will automatically pause the recording. After you end the call, we recommend that you tap on the Abridge app to bring it back into the foreground, where you should see the recording resume.
Don’t use headphones or other bluetooth connections. For telehealth visits, your phone needs to pick up the audio from your computer's speakers to capture the visit.
