Showing and hiding note sections lets you control which sections — such as History of Present Illness, Physical Exam, and Assessment and Plan — appear in your Abridge-generated notes by default. Changes apply to all future notes and do not affect notes that have already been generated.
How to show or hide note sections
- Open the Abridge web editor at notes.abridge.com on a desktop or laptop.
- Select the three horizontal bars in the upper left corner of the screen to open the menu.
- Select Note Settings.
- Scroll down to the Sections area.
- Select the checkmark next to each section to show or hide it. A checked section will appear in your generated notes; an unchecked section will not.
Note: Changes to section visibility apply to future generated notes only. They do not update notes that have already been created.

FAQs
Will hiding a section delete content from notes I've already created?
No. Section visibility changes only affect notes generated after the change is made. Existing notes are not altered.
A section is missing from my generated note. Could this be the cause?
Yes. If a section is not appearing, check Note Settings to confirm it has not been hidden. See Section(s) missing from Abridge-generated note for a full troubleshooting guide.
Is this setting available in Abridge Inside (Hyperspace)?
Note Settings, including section visibility, are configured in the Abridge web editor at notes.abridge.com. Settings saved there are applied across your Abridge account, including when you use Abridge Inside in Hyperspace.
Can I show or hide sections on a per-note basis rather than as a default?
No. Section visibility is a default setting that applies to all future notes. If you need a section excluded for a specific note, you can manually delete the section content in the web editor after the note is generated.
